| Hey.. this is kinda cool I guess.. So like a month ago the ACT sent me this letter about how I did well on their test, and they enclosed this "news release" form I could fill out with my name and school and stuff. My mom was pretty excited, so she sent the stuff to the Los Altos Town Crier and World Journal, and both of them published articles.. At the same time, St. Francis decided to publicize all my standardized test scores and suddenly now there's this huge media blitz. KGO radio, ABC News, NBC News, SJ Mercury.. and then like Fox broadcast the segment, and a bunch of newspapers affiliated with the Mercury published the article. And tomorrow KTSF is coming to Physics class I think, and then I have a possible CNN interview (woahh national!!). Maybe more, too.
My thoughts: - WOW. - I'm usually super quiet and all so this is really strange. - I think all these media people are totally overreacting, but hey. This is a pretty unique experience. - A LOT of my friends are wayyy smarter than me. That would be like Alan Malek and Chris Lin and Jerry Hong (just to do some namedropping, and there's more of you guys).. and that's not to mention all the other people I don't know personally but are definitely smarter than me, like most of the kids from Harker, Saratoga, etc. I guess it's just cuz St. Francis likes the publicity, and all those other schools don't. - If this helps me get into college, I'm all for it =P jk. But in all honesty, I didn't ask for all this, and I wish all those haters would stop bashing me. - I still have a crapload of homework to do.. ahhhh!
[edit] My dad got me a cake!! Wow. That's major!
(the cake.. with my "The Clash of Civilizations?" article underneath lol)
